The committee lead by Michelle LaPointe has slected the successful candidates. |
The Wrench the Dream Grant is a new project of COPA 177 to encourage apprentice aviation maintenance engineers to complete their AME-1 licence. The grant provides money for courses, exams, conferences and tools.
Thanks to the support of the Sexsmith Pilots Limited, two recipients were selected this year:
-
Joy Kuai working at Team Aviation in Stratford. Joy plans to write her final Transport Canada exam next summer. Joy is also a licensed private pilot.
-
Shane Jacobs working at Xu Aviation in London. Shane is particularly interested in working on fabric and wood aircraft, skills that are in scarce supply.
